Graphic Organizers
The use of graphic organizers is an excellent way of presenting information. It is a great asset to the struggling reader who is overwhelmed by too much text but is more comfortable with a diagram which gives him or her a better understanding of what is being taught. It is also a great way of summarizing a lesson topic or any information that needs to be condensed. In addition, it caters for the visual learner who will benefit more from those pictorial representations. More so, Webspiration makes the creation of graphic organizers awesome because in addition to being user friendly, it provides a variety of template concept maps, which make the creation of the graphic organizers so simple.

Enough with the text books and chalk and talk!
ReplyDeleteIt is at times quite necessary to present information to our students in differing ways. I too do believe that the graphic organizers is an excellent tool for doing so. It can simplify information for our struggling learners as well as cater to the needs of our visual learners.
This is an excellent method of teaching especially for content area teachers. It is a good way to summarise notes and help students understand concepts. The templates on webspiration make it easy for using. Students can now see the notes not as text but in a more spatial and visual context.
